Today, from Abbie’s Eye on the Sparrow blog:
“It’s been a big year so far.  Donating over $4,000 has been possible because the number of stores has doubled.  The number of pieces sold through fab.com has been over 1,000.  The killer mojo of a rockstar is something people want to get a hold of.  Anybody is a rockstar.  The willingness to try does that.  It’s not succeeding that matters.  There’s something happening.”

As reported here in September, Abbie enlisted local music producer Salim Nourallah to help her compile volume one in what promises to be a series of cd’s featuring Metroplex area songwriters and groups. To celebrate the release, she organized a wonderful night of music at the historic Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff, featuring Salim and a handful of the other acts on the release. Abbie gave away Change the World Volume One for free with paid admission. Since then, in her own words, “over 1,000 CD’s have been given out.  CD’s are in Australia, Spain, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and all over the United States.  So many CD’s have been given out that I had to order another 1,000 copies…”

That’s fantastic news! We at the CAMF congratulate Abbie on the increasing success of her small business through her unwavering dedication to help the foundation help others. Thank you Abbie!
